Single Cap for all Diameters.
The Fuji concept allows for the same cap to be used with all main cosmetic tube diameters (35, 40 and 50mm). This means that the supply chain benefits.
Single Cap for all Orifices.
The Fuji cap changes the concept of where the control of the product flow is formed. Most flip top caps have a different orifice, e.g. 3mm, 5mm or 7mm. This means that you need 3 caps in stock to be ready for 3 orifices.
With the Fuji concept the orifice is made in the shoulder, not the cap. This means that to change the orifice is a low-cost operation which can be done in minutes or hours, allowing the producer to be ready to handle all orifices at all times.
Lead-Time
The lead-times for Fuji closures can be as short as 2 weeks. This compares to lead times for cosmetic closures which can be 12 weeks or more.
Weight.
The Fuji cap has a weight of 1.2 grams which compares to most Flip Top caps which have weights of 5-8 grams.
Mono-Material.
Most flip top caps for tubes are made from PP while the tube bodies are from PE. The Fuji cap is from HDPE so, when put on a PE tube body, this makes a “mono-material” tube which is then recyclable.
Tamper Evidence Feature.
The Fuji cap has a TE feature so that consumers can be sure that they are the first person to open the tube. This becomes more important when brand owners want to eliminate the carton as part of a sustainability measure. With the TE feature the tube does not need a carton or other system for showing tamper evidence.
Locking Feature.
When the cap is pushed back it “clicks’ into a locked position, thus allowing the product to flow out without the cap interfering with the product flow.

9 different caps can now be replaced with a single Fuji cap.
Due to the small size/low weight of the cap you also get more caps in a box, more caps on a pallet and need less storage space and less trucks of caps for the same annual demand.
