Meet the DecoRoll MG
Inline solution for decorating cosmetic and beverage glass containers
In cooperation with OMSO, a leading provider of screen and flexographic printing systems, PackSys Global has developed a concept for an inline solution for decorating glass bottles and containers. Now, it has also been implemented in a test system. This consists of the SB021 4-color screen printing system from OMSO in connection with the DecoRoll MG roll-off hot stamping system from PackSys Global.
With perfume flacons, only a few colors are often required for decoration, supplemented by shiny gold or silver hot stamping for the final refinement of the product in order to meet demanding customer requirements.
These requirements were adopted as a specification for the inline concept. The following decoration options can be created in one run at up to 40 parts per minute:
- 3 color screen print based on UV (SB021)
- 1 color primer based on solvent, UV or LED (SB021)
- 1 - 2 color hot stamping (DecoRoll MG)
Round, square, rectangular, oval, and - with restrictions - even conical glass containers can be decorated in one go. With this compact inline solution, practically all conventional customer requirements can be covered with maximum performance. The same requirements apply to beverage bottles.
